On the morning of December 18, 2024, the first phase of the production of Zhongce Rubber's new Indonesian tire manufacturing plant PT. Matahari Tire Indonesia (MTI), located in Kendal Industrial Park, Semarang City, Central Java Province, Indonesia, was grandly held.
Central Java Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, China Chamber of Commerce, general manager of KIK Park, relevant government leaders of Semarang, general manager of KIK Park and chairman of Zhongce Rubber Group (ZC Rubber) Shen Jinrong, senior deputy general manager Ge Guorong, senior deputy general manager Shen Jiannong, deputy general manager Shen Haoyu, deputy general manager Wang Xianning and other leaders and guests attended the ceremony. More than 300 people including dealers and suppliers from all over the world attended the ceremony.
ZC Rubber Indonesia MTI was established in January 2024 and is the second overseas company invested by ZC Rubber. The company has invested US$280 million and covers an area of 49.2 hectares. It mainly involves products such as truck and bus tires, two-wheel tires, bias tires, inner tubes, tracks and carbon black production lines. After reaching full production capacity, the annual sales are expected to be approximately RMB 5.2 billion.
The ZC Rubber Indonesia MTI factory project set a new speed for the construction of large-scale industrial plants in Indonesia and was the first project to be built and put into production in the same year.
Mr. Shen Jinrong delivered an important speech at the ceremony. He said that as an important step in the "global development strategy" of ZC Rubber in its more than 60 years of development, the official production of Indonesia's MTI Company is a solid step in the strategic development of the group company.
He expressed the hope that MTI would build on its own strengths, comprehensively enhance its core competitiveness, ensure high-quality product supply, continuously expand the industrial chain, and continue to deepen cooperation at all levels and fields, demonstrate the responsibility and strength of ZC Group, serve and support the high-quality development of the local economy, and build a solid strategic fulcrum for the group's global development.
Later, Mr. Shen and all the guests who attended the ceremony visited the production workshop, watched the workers' actual operations, and expressed praise for the refinement of the production equipment, the rigor of the process, and the high production efficiency.
The official production of ZC Rubber Indonesia MTI not only demonstrated the strength and responsibility of group, but also injected new vitality into the global tire industry and further consolidated ZC Rubber's leading position in the global tire market.
