On August 19, Shandong Province Sanli Tire Manufacture Co., Ltd's "Annual production of 3.38 million high-end high-performance semi-steel radial tires expansion project" and Zhongyi Rubber Co., Ltd.'s "Annual production of 12 million high-end semi-steel radial tires project" have been registered on relevant platforms.

Sanli bias tire production capacity replaced by semi-steel tire
As early as last year, the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology made public the capacity replacement of Sanli Tire's high-end and high-performance radial tire project. The registered annual production capacity is 1.7 million sets of bias tires, 500,000 sets of agricultural tires, 6 million semi-steel radial tires, 100,000 sets of motorcycle tires, and 100,000 sets of cycle tires.
The withdrawn production capacity is 1.2 million bias tires. In this replacement, Sanli Tire acquired the above-mentioned withdrawn 1.2 million bias tire production capacity, which can be replaced with an annual production capacity of 3.38 million semi-steel radial tires.
The project was originally scheduled to start construction in November 2023 and be completed in November 2025. This project filing may speed up the project construction. After the construction is completed, Sanli's high-end and high-performance radial tire production capacity will be significantly improved, which is of great significance to the transformation and upgrading of the enterprise.
At the same time, in May this year, Sanli Tire issued an announcement that it would invite bids for a new project to produce 6 million sets of semi-steel radial tires annually, and it is expected to expand production.
The project construction covers multiple core production links such as mixing workshop, calendering workshop, building workshop and vulcanization workshop, building a complete production chain. The project has now entered the land leveling stage.
It is understood that Sanli Tire was restructured and established in 1996 and currently has more than 1,000 cadres and employees. The main products include truck tires, small and medium-sized engineering tires, special tires, ATV tires, and giant engineering machinery tires.
Sanli Tire's sales were booming in 2024, especially its export business. In early May, the company said that orders had been scheduled until August.
Zhongyi Rubber's annual production of 12 million tires project
On August 5, Zhongyi Rubber's annual production of 12 million high-performance green and environmentally friendly semi-steel radial tires project conducted a public participation information disclosure for the social stability risk analysis. The filing of this project means that the project construction will be further promoted.
The project covers an area of 190,000 square meters, with a construction area of 160,000 square meters. It will build a production workshop of 80,000 square meters, a warehouse of 80,000 square meters, and utilize 80,000 square meters of existing factory buildings.
The newly added equipment includes more than 260 sets of internal mixers, open mills, calenders, building machines and curing presses. After the project is completed, it will be able to achieve an annual production of 4 million high-performance tires, ultra-high-performance tires, 6.5 million special tires for new energy vehicles, and 1.5 million all-terrain tires and mud tires.
It is understood that Zhongyi Rubber was established in 2016. It is a R&D and manufacturing enterprise of high-performance all-steel radial tire, semi-steel radial tire, steel rope core and fabric core rubber conveyor belt.
It has built a factory for designing three million sets of all-steel radial tires per year, and cooperated with a factory for designing six million sets of semi-steel radial tires per year and one for fabric core rubber conveyor belt. A rubber conveyor belt factory with an annual capacity of 40 million square meters is designed.
